How is it that the events organized by the CREDU Association enjoy great interest and real success? It is not about a “simple conference”. A mix of valuable speakers, innovative techniques, presentation of revolutionary products, brand sponsors, valuable and consistent audience, current studies and international collection of specialized materials. These are just some of the examples.
The most diverse media partners: from television stations to medical websites, from health content creators to communication professionals, from generalist journalists to specialized journalists, are the valuable and indispensable resources for successful event communication.
On Friday, March 15, 2024, the third “Healthy Choices” conference organized by the CREDU Association ended
Interesting and current topic
Held in physical and online format, the conference dealt with a public health topic, in accordance with the themes of “World Sleep Day”.
The ailments and medical conditions associated with insufficient or poor quality sleep are multiple. Treated generally by neurologists, psychiatrists and pulmonologists, sleep-related diseases and pathologies are many and seriously affect the quality of life.
They are a real avalanche of problems in the life of the affected person, which can lead to a long chain of ailments. A real “philosopher’s stone” of the type “the primacy of the egg or the chicken”, these inconveniences can reach high levels, which can even lead the affected person to commit suicide.
Recognized professionals and creative achievement
The specialists brought together by CREDU demonstrated that we are talking about a real public health problem: Prof. Dr. Cristina Panea, Head of the Neurology Clinic Elias University Emergency Hospital, Director of the Department of Clinical Neurosciences, University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Carol Davila” Bucharest. “Sleep disorders affect, worldwide, more than 50% of the population but are, unfortunately, ignored in Romania by both patients”.

Psychiatrist at Coltea Hospital, Mihai Bran, co-founder of the digital health and well-being platform, Hilio, emphasizes: “Sleep is an important pillar of a healthy lifestyle and optimal mental health. We often neglect the quantity or quality of sleep without knowing what important repercussions it can have on physical and mental health. In my psychiatric practice, I see more and more people with sleep disorders that are either symptoms associated with mental disorders such as depression, burnout, anxiety disorders or psychotic disorders, or are indicators of a disorganized lifestyle.”
“Recognize the signs” is a health and prevention education program held in schools in Bucharest, headquarters of associations and centers dedicated to children as well as at the headquarters of the Credu Association.
The final goal of this project is its implementation at the national level, in all schools in Romania and its integration into the school curriculum.
About this “creative chapter” Oana Voicu, president of the association and associate at the University of Bucharest, Faculty of Journalism and Communication Sciences, where she teaches the course “Communication for health” states: “Children must be taught to listen to their bodies, to recognize the signs of fatigue and prioritize rest to maintain long-term health. At Asociația Credu, we develop educational stories and lessons to guide and educate both children and adults about the importance of restful sleep and a healthy lifestyle. “Health Detectives” is part of the National Health Education Program Healthy Choices, a project for children aged 5-13 that can also be implemented in the Otherwise School.”

Diversity
An important resource for teachers, parents and educators is also the series of articles on the website of the CREDU Association, dedicated to sleep. Notions related to sleep duration, specialist recommendations, various pathologies and specialized terminology are extensively explained.

Effective and creative communication
Does the presentation of a digital therapist of the future sound like a good example of creative communication?
We complete the examples of “good practices” with WakeZ a digital therapist of the future, which can offer a unique intervention in the world, which is based on immediate results, and not on an effort to change the user’s behavior.
An example of innovation, at the highest level, that the CREDU Association is proud to have presented is “WakeZ is an application for mobile phones and smart watches that offers you a better sleep through a series of innovative functions. Using the watch’s vibration motor, we discovered that we can influence the brain’s electrical activity during sleep. So, from the moment you turn on the app and go to bed, it gives you something called the Lullaby protocol, which teaches you to breathe in such a way as to induce mild cerebral hypercapnia and fall asleep more easily. So far, the only innovation is to give your breathing instructions via vibrations. While sleeping, you can individualize the type of sleep – for example, if you go to bed at 3 and have to wake up at 7, it ensures more deep sleep so that you have energy for the day ahead,” says Dr. Zaki Milhem one of the speakers of the event.
Doctor Milhem is a resident in Anesthesia and Intensive Care, as well as a PhD student in biotechnology.
Interference with related domains
The CREDU Association believes that in addition to the opinions of recognized specialists in their fields of activity, it must offer a wide range of opportunities to its public. More precisely, it wants to offer a study of medical issues, approached from other angles.
At the conference dedicated to “World Sleep Day”, this approach from a different “angle” was provided by Dr. Ranim Salame, Health Coach at Folk, who describes himself as “helping people take control of their health, through accessible solutions, conveniences and complete”.
“After learning so much about the human body, mind and soul, I believe that making a commitment to live a healthy lifestyle is one of the best decisions you can make for yourself and your family!” says Dr. Ranim Salame, Health Coach
Another “direction of approach” is that offered by Ema Barbă. Breathing, Yoga and Meditation are the tools offered by Ema, free materials and courses through which you learn and bring meditation and Yoga into your life.
“For me, meditation, yoga and breathing have been deeply healing. They have helped me heal and continue to be my resource in building the life I want for myself.
That’s why I’m very excited to guide you to discover these techniques in the best way, according to you” says Ema Barbă.

We hoped that the few arguments presented in the article, as well as the “case study”, i.e. the examples from the latest “Healthy Choices” conference of the CREDU Association, were able to contribute to more information about the way of innovative approach to the events organized by CREDU
